Researchers Develop Display Float To Become Future of Screen Technology

Talk about the display, the resolution is indeed a thing of preferred by the manufacturers, and we are familiar with the term screen resolution 4K, 5K, or even 8K. In addition, the development of the current screen has also produced a thin display panel and bezel-less. But for the resolution and the design will be replaced with the technologies of the future, namely the floating screen.

Recently, researchers from the University of Sussex and Bristol have developed a screen that can actually float the air thanks to the use of ultrasonic force. This technology dubbed JOLED, in the video below looks researchers demonstrated their technology by using small polystyrene beads that can float thanks to the speakers that are placed above and below them, with each bead sit in the pocket ultrasound.

By modulating the sound, it causes the beads to move and change its position. The researchers then tried to paint one side of black beads and lining them up in titanium dioxide, and the end result is a bead that can change their direction, thus displaying a different color (in this case black or white).

Granted this is not a high-resolution screen so because they consist of beads on the grid 6 x 7, but it is an interesting development and it can be further improved in the future. For the moment, the screen direkomendarikan to be developed as an advertising or tourism, and if you are curious about the technology that can see in the following video display.
